Front UCA. If I'm replacing the frame bolts will it hurt to....

..use a air impact on the old bolts to get them out. I did the DS UCA and was able to access the nuts for the frame bolts from the engine side coming in from the top. Plenty of room. Got the arm off without having to remove the steering shaft. The PS is a different animal. Can barely access...

Will the trans oil cooler lines for a 2004R work for a 200C?

Since I'm getting the transmission done I'd like to replace the lines while it's out. Can only find the ones for a 2004R though. Will they work for a NA Regal w/200C trans? Thanks.

Tranny won't go into park. What did I screw up now?

Installed a new crossmember the other day and while doing so I had the transmission on a transmission jack for support. I had to "bump" it up some to get the new mount for the transmission installed. Now the column shifter won't go into park. It still thinks it's in reverse. Did I tweak...

    Leaks in two spots

Some time ago a mechanic replaced my speedo cable w/a aftermarket one. Ever since then fluid leaks from where the cable goes into the transmission. Is there a gasket or O-ring that goes in there? Second leak is in the rear of the Transmission where the prop shaft goes in. Again is there a seal...

Help w/installing Trans Crossmember Mount pls.

I needed to replace the mount for the crossmember on the DS. I got the kit from GBody Parts and for the life of me I can't get all the holes to line so I can thread the bolts. I've tried both with the member jacked up and not. I've tried using an alignment punch and pry bar's but no love...

DS Rear E-Brake Cable to short

I replaced all three e-brake cables today using ACDelco parts but the Drivers Rear Cable isn't long enough to reach the connector w/the front cable. I replaced the equalizer (bracket) as well. Is there some trick to this? The cables are routed the same way the old ones came out. The rear...

Rear Feed Line into Proportioning Valve.

I was able to successfully install the Rear Feed Brake Line with the help of a fellow board member. Replaced the hose that goes from that line to the rear axle while I was at it. So far so good. I'm working with pre bent SS lines from Classic Tubes (I brought the complete Brake kit) and...

Is the cable for the E-Brake from the pedal one piece or two.

I need to replace the E-Brake Cable running along the underbody on the DS. The one that snapped runs from a connector located about under the DS Door to the Equalizer Plate in the back where the Rear Cables come in. It's called a intermediate cable and I can get it special order (no returns)...

Finally got around to installing the bushing in the LCA's. First order Rock Auto sent me didn't have all the parts in the box. Second order all four bushing were in the box and thankfully installing the bushings was way less pain and suffering than removing the 20+ year old ones. However I'm...

Bent control arm inwards while removing bushing.

For some reason the FSM only has one spacer for the tool to install/remove the bushings from the lca. It's too short for one side. By the time I got the bushing out I noticed the the flanges are bent inwards. At least on the outside one. Is there a fix for this or is the arm toast?
