Just installed a new fuel pump 340 and tank with sending unit. New fuel filter too. Put everything back together and primed the system to remove all air. Put fuel gauge back on and noticed I now have about 50psi on the gauge. I’m not using an adjustable fuel regulator. I’m using the Bosch regulator from a TTA. So my question is.. will the regulator sort out the high pressure going into the injectors?
I have problem with my Buick regal turbo running rich, blowing black smoke, can’t seem to control fuel pressure I’m running holly 32 pound injectors nothing crazy. I have owned the car for 35 years just now getting it running. It sat for years rebuilt motor only thing I did different is the injectors . Cam shaft, and bigger exhaust valves, exhaust and valve springs.
