My sister-in-law has a bone stock '95 Corvette 6 speed with under 11k on it. It's a fun little car, can slowly walk away from my 928 from a roll. My butt says it's a low 14 second car. Just wondering what would be involved to give it enough beans to trap 110 or so in the quarter.

Wiring two equilavent speakers in parallel will halve the impendance(ohms). Wiring in series will double the resistance(ohms, again). So, to have 4 16 ohm drivers have a overall impendance of 4 ohms, wire them all in parallel. All hot and grounds together.

"Whopping 160"? Put that 160 in a car that weighs about 1750 with driver and do the math. And thats very mild compared to some VWs. There have been many Vee Dubs running in the 10s with the same basic flat 4, pushrod engine.

My brothers' friend is a NJ state trooper. But he was before the time of the fabled 9C1 Caprices. The late model Crown Vics, without a light bar, will do 125, then given enough road, will slowly go to 135-140. As for the police LT1 Caprice, they will do anywhere from 132-142. Mine is bone...

That's about what the AMC straight 6 was rated at in the mid 70s. Figure mabey 80 to the wheels. A 6 auto Pacer did 0-60 in about 17 seconds.

The Chevy had a slightly higher trap speed, so mabey a little more power for the El-Camino. The Ford had an open rear, major disadvantage. As for the times.......... A 383 stroker small block with headers running mid 14s at 95? I understand they don't have the time to tune properly, but...
