Can someone intelligent give me, in laymans terms, what actually happens when the +12v and - are provided to the solenoid? 1) Does it restrict flow, by "plugging" the pump bore, or is it opposite, that it moves out of bore and provides more flow? 2) Once more/less flow is achieved by...

She went on the road today - Good & Bad!

I took my 2004r on the road today ..... had a couple of issues that I could use some opinions on ..... 1) She overheated rather quickly .... about 15-20 minutes she was over 260*, so I took her back to garage and parked her. She has an external aluminum finned 18" cooler - maybe not enough...

    Little round seal

I have tranny back together, but in retrospect, started thinking about the little round seal that goes in through the rear of tranny and against center piece. It is the one I had to use a ground #4 eze-out to get out. Does the seal go into bore, metal end with small hole first (against the...

    TV adjustment - correct thinking?

Is my thinking correct, when I am thinking that the TV adjustment should be fairly easy to get "right on", as I have the pan off, I should have the plunger on vb all the way depressed at point of someone using their foot to push pedal down to floor (= WOT) or is there more to it that I am not...

    Front Planetary Gear

After checking all the planets clearances, it appears that two out of four gears exceed the .024 clearance requirement. Since these gears do not have the removable pins so that the washers can be replaced (and correct clearance obtained), the remedy is to REPLACE entire carrier. Now, with...
