My 16 yr. old daughter has formed a team to walk in the Relay for Life walk in a two weeks- she is doing this
for me... I was diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia on June 29, 2011. With the medication that was discovered only 10 years ago, I am back to pretty much a normal life other than the 200 mg (half pill)
I take to control my white blood cell count. I never really thought of cancer until it affected me. Only 15 years ago if I had been diagnosed with CML, I would have been given 5 yrs to live... So although there is still along way to go, there has been ALOT of headway as well such as my case.
