None! I'm smarter then that..... If you've had good luck with them, then great, I'm happy it worked out for you. Look, I know this topic (PTE) is very contentious on this board and I'm not here to belittle, besmirsh or make disparaging remarks about PTE turbos or anybody who likes/uses them, but it's pretty evident that BW and Garrett turbos are superior products. I think the reason BW and Garrett have not had the success on GNs like PTE has had is because of the Buick housing and wastegate configuration. It's a lot easier and cheaper to use a PTE then a BW or Garrett.
How many people out there use a PTE 6262 or 6265 on this board? A lot....seems like that's all I ever read...... Hey I'm looking to upgrade my turbo what do ya all think about a PTE 6262...... How many times have we seen that? A lot.....and that's because it's plug and pray. But if you wanted to use a BW ERF series or a Garrett GTX series turbo you're gonna have to spend some time and money changing things around.
Not saying that it never happens, but you rarely read/hear about BW or Garrett turbos breaking. I realize everything breaks at some point in time, but not at a rate that PTE seems to break.
Read the Stage ll forum, most of those applications are using BW or Garrett. Why?
