I thought some of you might be interested where some of the stage II motors
other than drag racing might be found.
1. IMSA GTP 3.0 to 3.4 liter turbo charged on gasoline road race motor
cosworth water and oil pumps Kisler fuel inj. Built mainly by McClaren
in Mich. app 30 made
A few 4.5 liter F.I. motors were also made
2. IMSA GTP Lights 3.0 liter normally aspperated (sp?) built by various
engine builders Lozano brothers up to 8 cars running these Buicks.
3. IMSA GTO 4.5 liter F.I. and 3.0 Turbo buick somerset and Olds
equivalent
4. SCCA Trans Am 4.5 ltr (272 ci) Buick Regals F.I. motors
5. INDY LIGHTS 4.2 Ltr.F.I. at least 30 cars available all motors
built and maitained by Ohio George approx 100
6. Indy/USAC 3.4 liter turbo on Alky cosworth pumps. Early motors
built by McClaren latter engines built by Bratten engineering
Note Most of the motor listed except for the 1990's Indy and Indy light
motors were off-center and tall deck types
