    reinstalling engine wiring harness

    After many yrs I am getting my 85 GN back on the road. I am having trouble remembering how the wiring harness snaked across the front of the engine particularly the left side. Does it go under the pwr steering pump? Can someone post a picture of theirs for me?

    timing chain tensioner

    Can I see the timing chain tensioner through the fuel pump blockoff plate or some other way without pulling off the front cover. I had the motor rebuilt w/dbl roller chain but I'm not sure if the tensioner was installed or not and I would rather not have to pulloff the front cover

    dbl roller timing chain

    I just had my motor rebuilt and had a dbl roller chain put in. I'm not sure if the rebuilder put back the chain tensioner. I understand it should not be installed w/the dbl roller chain. (1) can it even be installed? (2) will any damage occur if he did install the tensioner.

    I have 200K on my engine that was bored .30 I assume to rebuild it again it will need a .30. Can these be taken out that far without overheating or other problems

    trans cooler install

    I want to install the cooler in conjunction with the coil in the radiator. I would assume I would go into the radiator and out through the cooler and back to the trans. My question is which line going to the radiator is the feed and which is the return -- upper or lower?

    Short block availability

    Who in the LA area would carry short blocks for 3.8 Turbo. Mine's been bored .030 and w/120K I don't want to bore it again prefer to buy a short block. I like Grooms ad in Tenn. but probably to far to be shipping engines frt probably a killer.

    EGR vacuum

    Trying to get my '85 GN to pass Ca smog. I replaced the EGR controller and checked the EGR for function and it is free. At idle I get 3" vacuum at the EGR is this normal and enough to actuate the valve. MY car failed on NOx which is probably a function of the EGR I assume.
