retorque the heads

I have my rebuilt motor back and the rebuilder has a tag stating to retorque the heads after 1/2 hr of running. I think I can get to the bolts w/extensions and universal joint but I'm concerned the the torque values will not be correct. My questions are do the heads really need to be retorqued? They used FelPro gasket set 260-1149. If so how do I adjust the torque to compensate for the 8" extension and universal joint.

i only torqued mine once and its been a year and a whole lot of 20 psi runs ?

When I was still hot air, with new head gaskets and bolts I tore the up/down pipe off, etc to retorque. Normally when you retorque you can feel a little tiny bit of give and can tell they needed retorqued. Mine did not budge at all. And I did that two different times. A lot of people don't worry about it. I probably won't next time either. JMO
