failed Cal smog. need help

My '85 GN failed today on HC and NO. all was returned to stock except the fuel regulator which is the TA type regulator and the fuel pumped is hot wired . I forgot to change it back. I think that changing the regulator will take care of the HC failure as it was very close, but the NO is another story. What effects NO? No CEL lights runs fine. Idles normal at 12" vacuum. Listed below are the results.

I forgot, pull up on the underside of the valve to see if it kills the motor, it should kill it if it's working. If that works, make sure the vacuum lines are correct going to it and last, make sure the solenoid is good. NOx goes through the roof when the EGR isn't working properly. My vacuum line was kinked and I had over 1,000ppm. After fixing it, it was somewhere around 300.
