    Still PowerMaster or converted?

My vacume assisted 4 wheel disc brake setup will hold just about as much boost as you can throw at it. All you have to do is think about stopping and the car starts to slow down. Very little peddle effort needed to stop it, I mean almost non at all.

Anyone else have TERRIBLE gas milage?

22-25 out of mine, some tasteful mods and I drive it like a true classic. But don't get me wrong, I'm not getting beat by a ricer on the street. It will hold it's own, 11.30 car. My fast car runs low 8's in the 1/4, 64 GTO with a 535 CI Pontiac canted valve motor, 1038 HP, N/A. And it gets about...

    Vacume brake conversion

This is proberbly the best conversion you can do to your 86-87 TR or GN, eliminating the Powermaster braking system and replaceing it with a much more reliable vacume setup. Brakeing is as good if not better with this upgrade. I have 4 units for sale, they all have been checked and are in...

    which alky to purchase?

Alky You really need to look at all the peramiters, Cooling Mist has so many more ways to moniter your engine perameters and much more control over the alky control than Razor's kit does. Razor is a nice kit, but has fallen behind the more technically advance kits on the market today. These...

    Question? GNX Spec Wheels/tire fitment

I have GNX spec wheels on the front of my car, I can tell you that they will rub on the front, not bad but they will rub. I ran 265/50-15 before these rims, and they rubbed as well a little on a tight turn. But just a little when turned to the stops. The rears will be fine, if the back spacing...

1987 pro-touring grand national, from the ground up

Looks like a good solid platform to start with, sounds like you have a good plan and some reputable folks to help you out. The key to it is you did not start out with a pile of junk from the get go. That alone proberbly cut the cost of the build in half, as well as man hours.

    which alky to purchase?

I'm partial to the trunk mount Cooling Mist kit, Adjustable with a lap top, or the control knobs on the controller. And the alky is away from possible ignition sources. Alky stays way cooler, and it works as well as a Razor kit, which is a good kit as well. Julio should look into marketing a...

    power antenna

I have a unit from NOS4GN in my car, and it works when it feels like going up and down. Not very happy with it, I do get excited when it works, but wonder if it's going to go down when I turn the radio off.

    5in backspacing .

5" backspace That will never work without at least a mild frame notch. I run a 295/50-16 and had some issues with clearance on the frame. That was with a 9.5 wide rim, and a 4.5 backspace. I run a billit .250 spacer as well. Tire is 12.2" wide at the sidewall. Does not rub now, but had to...

LS1 or Blazer front break up grade. Need Help

I did a complete LS1 conversion, front and rear on my GN with drilled and slotted rotors for $650.00. That even included the right Proportioning valve. I did all the work myself, ordered the front caliper brackets from flynbye.com, if you do your homework and shop smart it can be done for little...

    Car won't run! Any ideas?

Electrical problems suck, check the whole circuit that the orange wire powers under the dash. even check your fusible links. Sounds like you fried something when the cig lighter pulled out before the fuse popped. Does the car have a hot wire kit on the fuel pump? How about the power antenna...

New GN Owner Looking for Build Comments/Advice

First you have to ask yourself, how deep are my pockets? then come up with a plan and stick to it. Parts for these cars have a very thin coating of Platinum on them, if you look real hard you can almost see it. Before you know it you will have in the car what you spent to buy it. Set a realistic...

Do all door dew weatherstripping strips leak?

Their are water drain holes at the bottom of the doors, if you get it rust proofed make sure the drains don't get plugged. After washing your car take it for a drive, to help dry it out. Leave the doors and trunk open for awhile to help air it out. Blow air into the molding around the windows to...
