Say good bye to one of our greatest leaders ..Ronald Reagan dead at 93

I just saw that headline. Really sorry to see him go. Great president and just a generally very likable man. What's really sad is what Alzheimers does to your last years before death releases them from that grip. It's sad what that disease does to a person, so death is not quite so bad when it...

    The Real Mach 5

But a negative comment 7 months down the road, now that's cool.

10 jobs most likely not to leave USA

Pharmacist? Don't people "outsource" that to Mexico and Canada all the time for lower cost of prescriptions? (or no prescriptions) Guess that's the consumer level, not profession.

    Hasselhoff to rap

I could swear that guy's original name was Faust. I love Knight Rider, but he really is a horrible actor (KITT was a better actor!). HOWEVER, everything that guy touches turns to gold, WTF?! That guy must've sold his soul to be so successful with so little talent. Look at this...

    Love Bugs??

You mean big black yellow crap filled bugs? I hate those things. The #1 culprits for screwing up a paint job. Driving through them is like a bug rain, but if you hit the wipers it only makes it worse. Driving to my in-laws when those things are out, we always have to stop a couple of times at a...

Anyone interested in a nice Fbody for cheap money?

automobile was involved in a light roll LOL! Years ago when I was watching the papers for my first car for MONTHS there was an ad for a Gremlin. "Looks like hell, runs great." I'll always remember that. Think I'd rather have the Gremlin of these 2 cars.

Anyone ever stain & score your floors?

I don't see why it wouldn't work fine in a garage, I was kind of thinking that myself. From what I've read (the very little that I can find) is that the key is in prepping the surface well first. Grease, oil any kind of contaminants can mess it up and you have to redo that area. Any oil marks...

Anyone ever stain & score your floors?

As in acid etched, stained and scored concrete floors. Thinking about pulling up the vinyl (whatever) stuff in the kitchen and the carpet in our bedroom and doing this. Looks like a good DIY project and a lot cheaper than hardwood floors. I've seen it in some new houses and if done right it can...

Dodge has got it going on!

I like the Magnum, from what I've seen (but haven't seen one in person). Is the interior nicer in person than in the pictures? I really like the car, but I'm thinking wait until the 2nd year of production to get the bugs out. The 300C I saw on the road looked kind of "stubby" for its bulky...

Outlook express and MSN Messenger Question?

I hate that too. I don't even use intant messengers. In OE, go to tools/options/General and uncheck "Automatically log on to Windows Messenger." There are other techniques for keeping it from starting up, maybe someone will chime in with it. That ought to do it though.

CELL Phone Minivan MOM takes out Chevelle SS

Really sorry to hear that. People should be licensed to use cell phones in a car. Most just don't have the intelligence to do those 2 things at one time. They usually don't get in the wreck themselves, but leave a wake of cars getting in trouble due to their ineptitude. It's sad that you have...

That's what I call DEEP in the sand...

Holy crap, they managed to take an H2 and make it even more impractical.

Refinancing a vehicle you just bought. Do you have to wait?

You need your copy of the title, so they can get info off of it. Also get contact numbers and payoff's so they can get that together. Some lenders may already consider it a used car, others won't, so keep calling around if you don't get the answer you want.

What?! You can't throw that out there and just walk away. ;) John: I don't have the number, I haven't seen the car since then. If I do, I'll be sure to write it down.

Last Oldsmobile to roll off assembly line Thursday

I hope so! ;) It's not really possible to buy American in cars. With all the joint ventures, changing ownerships, stocks and all, it's all mixed up anyway. Where the end money goes isn't really as important as the jobs created and local revenue generated. Nissan built a new plant 30 mi...

Last Oldsmobile to roll off assembly line Thursday

Don't forget the German cars, don't want any of those BMW's either. No British car either, you know we had a problem with them back a couple hundred years ago too. Guess I shouldn't buy any American cars either, since most are assembled in the North and we had some trouble with those guys just...

Car show in Madison? What's it called and where is it? I try to keep up with car shows in the area and hit a few. BTW, this is a GREAT website for keeping up with MS/LA/AL car shows, although that one isn't listed: http://www.classiccarbug.com/index.php Calendar of events...

Last Oldsmobile to roll off assembly line Thursday

Guess I should have asked what they sell that's worth a crap. Unless it's a truck/SUV or Vette, they don't pay any attention to form, just function. That's why the imports are killing these days. They offer form & function in the same package. I hardly ever see those 2 cars, and the Malibu keeps...
