If you just bought a car and wanted to refinance it after you got financing through the dealer, how long do you have to wait, or can you do it asap?

Unless your current contract has an early payoff penalty that would financially preclude you from paying it off early (no matter the means, including refinancing with a different lender), you can refinance ANY time, including the minute you walk out of the door of the dealership.

You need your copy of the title, so they can get info off of it. Also get contact numbers and payoff's so they can get that together. Some lenders may already consider it a used car, others won't, so keep calling around if you don't get the answer you want.
