In looking at the above 4 posts after the posted question:

Mr LeSabre is in the lead: He has nailed down 1 & 2 for vehicle info and year. He has 4 of the asnwers sixbanger has gotten the rite year vehicle #3.

Now that I post this its a race to see who can nail down vehicle #3. In other words Mr LeSabre although has 4 of the answers don't mean he will win.

Lucky for me I took some other photos last weekend not of cars but parts which I hope proves tougher to solve.

Will email Mr AMC Guy tomorrow photo showing that gep sticker on my harness by my silver gas tank on my 1987 turbo-t. Have him post it.

Want to keep injecting Tubro Buick info along the way as well.

BINGO

SIXBANGER HIT...first....

get a chance explain how you figured it out...

you know the drill...send me pm already put token in my pocket to take to work...

not sure if you have ever seen one but its a neat piece. says on one side limited edition 10 dollars gaming token las vegas nevada...Palms logo in the center.

other side same basic wording and in the center is a GN wit the years 1986/87 and words Grand National under it.

Going by memory they did I think a series of 6 or 8 different cars interesting enough none where similar to the Buick. Not sure how they made their decision on their car choices. I welcome any comments that readers may have on this subject.

Like I said I have sold several dozen in the past at $40 each. I have probably 3 others I would sell if any reading this is interested send me pm. They pop up once in while on ebay....

Fast game smart crowd....

I will get next contest to Mr AMC Guy who is a great help tomorrow and it will be up by late afternoon. The next will will require more than one answer as well.

The tough one of the 3 was the El Camino. Car I shot belonged to the current owners father who bought it new. I was famialar with the swing out seat. Mostly found in Monte Carlos etc probably pretty rare in an El Camino. May have offered that option 2-3 years. I am guessing on that.

Reminds me of a similar option Ford had in their T-Birds...member the swing away steering column? I had one of those cars a 1961.....

I need to hit on another fairmont Turbo question......

kirban

o a side note the years are dead on correct for all 3 cars....that olds wagon has to be rare as it rare when when new....compared to chevy/ford/.////

Is this what one looks like?

Man I wanted that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL.............

Dennis Kirban "Reminds me of a similar option Ford had in their T-Birds...member the swing away steering column? I had one of those cars a 1961....."

My stepfather had an all original 66 with that swing away and it had the bigger motor in it too. Car also had side skirts and 5 original hubcaps. I remember it was white with tan interior. Had a lot of options. Bought it for 500, sold it for 1000. I was not happy because it was supposed to be our "project" but times got tough kinda like now:mad:

If you recall I mentioned I was taking apart a Katrina flood car from Louisiana. Here are 3 photos of it minus the fenders. Every body panel by some stroke of luck is in perfect shape. Note the serve rust and silt on everything. NO idea how long this car was submerged. Note the narrow style powermaster brake reservoir which was one of the earlier trivia questions.

I can still smell the Gulf of Mexico in the car!

On the recent trivia question-PEG which is GEP label found on the 1987 Turbo Regals on the fuel pump sender harness back by the gas tank. One of the few visible stickers on your car. The one pictured shows it on my 1987 white Turbo-T. Other photo shows my white Turbo-T with our style GNX wheels.

In the background is the Katrina flood car. I have a 30 by 50 pole building at our house built.

Our part #7216 we sell them for $3 and they can go by mail if you want to purchase one.

Giving everyone a heads up I wil have the new photos and trivia question to Mr AMC tonite.....and he will probably get it posted late tonite after 9 pm.

It will involve several answers and you wil have photos to view like the previous contest.

You will be playing for a copy of the 100th Year GM Anniversary magazine. This is out of print and is a very informative magazine (book) covering 100 years of GM. Those that have won a copy in the past I am sure can attest to it.

Meantime if you have not already post your trunk ID label blocking out your VIN number.....we can break it down for you complete with option prices that GM charged back then.

We appreciate all the nice compliment and pm we get. Seems this thread is a hit for those that participate. Nothing like a little variety.

By the way my white Turbo-T has 100% original paint just turned 80,000 miles. Never undercoated (the floor pans under neath are still white). Car is 95% stock with all the suspension upgrades done capped off with our 16 by 8 black mesh GNX style rims.

The original tan interior is just as nice as the body. Bumpers show no rain marks. Original owner really took care of it. I bought it maybe 3 winters ago. Must have been 5 below zero around 9 at nite when I picked up the car. BOught it inOhio between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Best time to shop for these cars.

This is the car with just 52 codes on the trunk ID label. Mr AMC has been a great help posting photos for me.

Enjoy

BINGO

A winner:

GNX PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE WAS 0-60 MPH A 1 SECOND REDUCTION OVER A GRAND NATIONAL.

That was their performance objective

Their main objective was and I quote"

Create a limited production Grand National that achieves a memorable place in the History of High-Performance automobiles, on that car collectors will want to own and that automotive writers will never forget.

My papers do not show who made that statement but it is part of the papers dated October 1986.

Send me a pm with your full address to send you your prize.

Congrads

Believe you are the first Canadian winner we have had to date.

Hi Dennis,

I have received my prize. Thank you for the two informative booklets titled: Information On The Last 10,000 Grand Nationals Built For 1987, and Breaking Down The Service Parts Identification Label (SPI). I, especially, enjoyed reading through all the Buick Motor Division inter-office memos for justifying the production increase for the 1987 Grand National.

Take care,

Nando.

Automotive Trivia #56

Not eligible the last previous winner and any turbo regal employees.

This question requires 6 correct answers in one single post!

Like before you get partial right we will acknowledge which can also give someone else an edge who may post quicker than you can all the correct answers.

Prize is the 100th GM Anniversary book which is no longer available from the publisher valued at $35-$40.

Mr AMC Guy has posted 3 photos. All are GM vehicles. Need car model not car make. Actual model it is.

Photo one the engine photo: I need the exact year and model car it is.

Photo two shows a portion of a car. Tell me the model and the year.

Photo three shows a portion of a car. Tell me the model and the year.

This time you must nail down the exact year. Single guesses in each post per category.

the clock is ticking

Remember requires 6 correct answers in one single post to be the winner.
