It is an interesting thought.....but, I personally would NEVER do that. I tell you what, it would be a cheaper project than you think. You can buy a blown Supra motor and buy an $1800 brand new shortblock and transfer all the top end over to it. If you dont pay the "rape me" prices of turbo kits and put one together yourself, you are waaayyy money ahead. I have had 2 Supras...a 95' and 97'....and those things are really runners. I put an 80 shot and DP and air intake and pulled a stupid hose and got 502rwhp and 499 ft/lbs and hit mid 11's at 126mph! That was with the crappy stock convertor and DR'S but now they are working the bugs out of the stalls so I only wish I knew what it wouldve been capable of. I bought a Precision Industries 4000 stall and it sucked ass....MAJOR issues.
I am into Buicks now...really always have been..... and the Supra is the one car I would be concerned with meeting up with on the streets FROM A ROLL. My friend's 95' Supra does 10.80's@130 on only 19 lbs of boost...he can do 30lbs I know he is gonna be gunnin for the Buick but I just like the "no aerodynamics" shape and can go fast thing about them. Truly, one of the most respected cars out there.
What was the question??lol...oh yeah....keep straight 6's in Supras and V-6's in GN's
Oh yeah, I weighed my Supras on some truck scales and the single turbo Supra I did weighed 3440 lbs w/o driver. Arent the GN's 3600+? Might as well do the 1000 HP Supra motor in a Supra.
