Need some opinions. Not my car/engine. Owner went 11.3ish smoking a stang:) Build has maybe 3k rods look nice. Bearings not hammered. Mains toast....cap walk very prominent. He says never saw any knock and the build never had good oil pressure. He bought a TA front cover did not help. Ran 20-50. 30 psi hot running down highway. Engine was quiet and running good. Cut open oil filter and found lots of bronze.

Pulled it and brought it to me. We tore it down. Found mains waisted. #1 main sorta survived and checked @.003 :(...rods where ok at .002-.0025 ish. My guess is the mains where to loose from the word go. And the crank was doing the "G body suffle" and this the result.

Hes going back with a forged bottom end and two center caps. Here are the pics

Galley plugs look kind of deep to me as well.

My car did the samething. All it took out was the main bearings. Everything else looked perfect. The center two caps were not tight to the block with bolts removed. The rest were tight. The car went 11.70 a few weeks before that.

Stock everything in bottom end. Ptc 10 inch convertor. Bolts all tight.
