Just hooked a Scanmaster 2.1 in my '87 GN. Disconnect negative battery cable. Red to positive ingnition, black to ground and white to orange wire on ALDL connector. Connect negative battery cable back up, turn on key and Scanmaster is very faintly flashing " 2.1 ." Anyone have any ideas what...

'87 GN won't fire. Can anyone tell me - if I hook up a code reader to the car would I get any info from it with the car just turning over and not starting? Also which code reader would one use? OBD1 or OBD2? I think that's what they're called but not sure. Thanx, Rick

I am looking for a tensioner pulley bracket for an '87 GN. I don't need the pulley, just the bracket. GM part # is 25526387. To avoid confusion of which bracket I am referring to, I am posting a couple of pics of it. Let me know if anyone has one. Thanks, Rick

I'm looking for the '87 GN bracket that holds the tensioner pulley and then one bolt holding the alternator goes through it. I don't need the tensioner pulley itself, just the bracket. It is GM part #25526387. Anyone have one or know where I can find one? :confused: I'm in central CA. :cool:

I'd like to install new crankshaft bearings w/o removing the crank. Cam lobe partially gone and old bearings don't look too bad but figured I've gone into it this far and for what they cost I might as well put new bearings in. I think there is some kind of tough plastic or nylon tool you can use...
