'87 GN won't fire. Can anyone tell me - if I hook up a code reader to the car would I get any info from it with the car just turning over and not starting? Also which code reader would one use? OBD1 or OBD2? I think that's what they're called but not sure. Thanx, Rick

You need an obd 1 scanner to pull a code or if you had a scanmaster hooked up it'd show any faults that were stored.
Which are easier than the old aldl paper clip or key method of watching the service engine light flash to see any faults. You just turn the key to run position, no cranking.
How long ago did the no start issue show up?
