    I'm out of here

Hate to go, but other priorities make keeping my '83 T impossible. Check out the thread

    1983 TType - $3500/trade for quad

This RUST FREE ’83 project car could be a Grand National that never was. As all Turbo Regal fans know, there was a GN in 1982, and a restyled GN with fuel injection in 1984. So with no Grand National in 1983, the TType was the only turbocharged Regal available. With factory stainless steel...

John Kerry blows off duties and screws unemployed

The way I see it, the Dems get exactly what they deserve. From Fox News (but I also saw it in the NY Times) Democrats tried to attach the benefit to a corporate tax bill. On a 59-40 vote in the GOP-controlled Senate, they fell just shy of the 60 votes needed to overcome objections that...

How do you launch with boost?

OK, I roughed the boost gauge in (no pod to mount in yet so its sitting in my ashtray). Anyway, I'm averaging around 9 lbs boost, but accellerating through 75 mph, it gets up a little past 10 lbs. The problem is I can't build boost on the line. Once rolling, it shoots up.

    Oil filler

Is there a suitable replacement for the oil filler "cap" on my '83. The one-piece rubber "stopper" with the hose that goes to the airbox has split wide open. I've got it taped for now, but I really don't expect it to last. Is there something like a filler neck with a nipple that I can just...

    First time down the quarter

I know I shouldn't cross post, so here's a link to the post about my runs at Firebird Int'l Raceway in Chandler, AZ. Pretty cool to run down the same asphalt as the NHRA big boys! http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=103533

    Race night

The stage is set to try out Jack Evers' old street slicks on Friday, 10/31 at Firebird Intl Raceway in Phoenix. PM temps are probably going to be in the 70's. I had them mounted on my partially refinished GTA rims, but kept the little 14 inch N78 wheels up front (can't afford tires for the...

    Propane + carb

Let me start by saying that the applications mentioned by BullyDog have NOTHING to do with TRs. Furthermore, since it deals with propane, this MAY be the wrong forum, but I wanted to ask the "experts" before I got the "Carb? Go ask in BeforeBlack!" or "You are stupid! Alky is the bliggity...

    Blasted TTA wheels

Literally! I went to pick up some more aircraft stripper to get the old spray bomb paint job (overspray and all) off my used TTA wheels. After seeing the price ($20/gal), I remembered that a cheap sand blaster was around $12 and a bag of play sand is $3. Considering that they're only TTA...

    Body prep help

I posted this in the body restoration forum, but got a limited response. I'd appreciate any and all advice on this. Pat83T - did you sand or strip? http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=89145 Thanks guys (and girls) ;)

    Body prep

I have an '83 T with black over silver paint that is COMPLETELY crazed. There are cracks in it that take a whole mess of sanding to smooth out. My problem lies with the rumor that it was the original primer that caused the paint to crack. Is the continued shrinking of the primer going to...

    Stock carb question

The Holley thread has made me wonder if there are any worthwhile modifications for the stock '83 carb? Specifically, can it be rejetted? I have an extra one that is sitting here until I get 1000 other things done, but I plan to have it professionally rebuilt. I would like to know so that I...

I saw this on eBay and flashed back to an earlier thread. Wish I hadn't bought that '84 parts car. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6144&item=2401485163&rd=1

    "FREE" 84 Regal

Now I've done it and my wife is going to kill me. I put my heart before my head and bought a clear-titled parts car. http://www.castimore.org/84BuickRegal/ Living here in Phoenix, buying a car in Jersey was pretty stupid, but the price was right! Knowing transport costs from experience...

    Where does it plug in?

I'm beginning to wish I had my '65 Skylark back! I got my car back after a cheap engine rebuild (I have abandoned my previous plans and am focusing on having a decent-looking, well-running, stock-performing car). When I picked it up, the mechanic suggested a carb rebuild as it seemed to be...

    Cold air intake

This appears to be much like the one Pat83T crafted for his T - only significantly cheaper. It also looks turned around 180 degrees. If I didn't have a long wish list for important things (boost gauge, exhaust, etc) I'd be on this,

    Adjustable actuators

What's the going price for a wastegate actuator? I want to hack mine into an adjustable, but I want a non-adjustable for restoration purposes.

    Calling all Canadians

Has anybody had a Canadian model speedometer recalibrated so that the 140 MAX in KPH would actually reflect MPH? Perhaps you could even remove the face from the KPH and screw it to an MPH body! Comments? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1865751237 A...
