Does anyone know anything about the design of the oil and trans cooling tanks? Can they be flushed or is that a waste of time? I'm doing a engine rebuild and i've flushed the oil cooler with kerosene.I'm leaning towards plugging it and not use it. What do you guys think?

Just a heads up on Royal Purple oil.Found it on auto zone shelf today.They had 10w 30 in quart bottles and 15w 40 Cl 4 plus,gal jugs.Recommended for engines pre 2004.A bit pricey at $29.99 a gal.But if you use synthetic oil and add zddp then the costs are about the same.Local hot rod engine...
