I just noticed a leak on my Shurflo pump also. If I just put in the new seal, would I have to replace anything else if the switch is not damanged? Julio, I will send you a email with my address for that seal.

k, thanks...I replied Oh yea, When I press the test button, nothing happens....If I have the knobs set up to were the "spray" LED is barely on and press the test button, the LED seems to dim a little bit :confused:

Well, when I first got the kit, I was anxious and started messing with the knobs :p You think that it is a ground problem even though I can get about 8 volts to the pump when I mess with the "turn-on" and "intial", and I have the "gain" knob turned all the way clockwise?

I am just wondering the position of the knobs on everyone's AlkyControl progressive kit...."gain" "initial" and "turn on"? I can get mine to ramp up, but I do not think that it isnt even sending enough voltage to the pump to spray the alky. I can adjust the the "intial" and "turn-on" knobs to...

So it is best to have the nozzle spraying directly down into the throttle body, right? Right now, mine is actually pointed/spraying at the opposite side of the pipe's wall.

I know when methonal is burning, you cannot see the flame. Is there any type of additive that will make the methonal flame visable? Methonal does not have a odor when it is burning, right? Is there any type of additive that will give meth a distinct odor when it burns?

Is anyone here using the Viton (sp?) seal kit with their Shurflo pump? I just got back from Northern Tools from buying the Shurflo #2687 pump, and one of the salesman told me to order the Viton Seal Kit directly from Shurflo since I will be using methonal. Have any of you heard about this, or...

I am trying a diy alky with the Shurflo #2687 from Northern Tools. Does anybody know what size fitting I need to use on the In and Out sides of the Shurflo pump? Is it 3/8 NPT? I am going to be running stainless braided lines, maybe with AN fittings. Thanks,

I see that you are from Dallas. Where are you buying your denatured alky from, and how much are you paying? I have the SMC kit, but I will not be putting it on the car until my built motor is broken in.

Do you think that it would be fine to use RTV sealant on the terminals to keep it from corroding?

I am guessing that you pulled the pump out of the tank when you soldered the wires and put that boot on the entire brass fitting, right? You didnt cover the other brass fitting for the level indicator? All of the fittings and wires outside of the tank are fine, right? Thanks

And does the "Spray on Point" knob suppose to turn more than 360 degrees? Or does it having a stopping point like the "Pump Speed" knob?
