I know when methonal is burning, you cannot see the flame. Is there any type of additive that will make the methonal flame visable?

Methonal does not have a odor when it is burning, right? Is there any type of additive that will give meth a distinct odor when it burns?

You can put the additives they sell to give it odor. Cherry, Vanilla, grape.. Also if you run denatured alcohol it will have an anti-freeze burning kind of smell.

Methanol burns clean, but is not as volatile as fuel. In other words if you have a rag drenched in gasoline vs a rag drenched in alcohol.. the gas rag will combust way way before the alcohol rag will. If with leaks, if out side temps are hot, by the time it hits the floor its gone. Its not like a grease, thats sticks to a surface, then when ignited into a fire.. is hard to turn-off.

Here's an experiment, pour some alcohol on the ground.. see how long it takes to evap. Straight not 50/50.

If you want to be 100% safe, run a 50/50 mix. Actually 100% safe is water and an electric car :D.
