Ok, I thought I was done. I hit the 11's with this run in the 1/8 last Sunday. 1.581 60' 7.343 ET 93.86 MPH It was the first real time to the track with the new Turbo (CPT65 BB), since I fixed my FP problem. I ran 28# boost on that run. Look at my combo and see if you can help me...

Any gains in going to 4" MAF pipe?

Check out my combo. My Question is if I go to a 4" MAF pipe and larger MAF sensor will there be any gains or are my stock heads the bottle neck ? Currently running a 3" maf pipe and 3"Impala MAF sensor. My turbo inlet is 4" . Thanks

660' burn out in my wife's GTO Today

I took the 86 Grand National to the track today hoping for a new personel best. My wife drove the 05 GTO. I paid for both of them to race just in case. When the 05 GTO had 536 miles I ran 8.6 in the 1/8 and I figured now that I had 4,400 miles on it it should be quicker. I had the GN cooling...

    New personal 1/8 mile best

I don't mean to make a production out of this but I am so happy right now. I have arrived at my goal. I bought my GN new in 1986 and we have had our ups and downs. The honeymoon was in 1987 when I was destroying the competion on 16#boost going only 8.8 in the 1/8 mile. The bad times were...

    Dodged another bullet--Flywheel

I had the trans out today and found what the horendice noise was. All 6 bolts on the flywheel to crankshaft were "very loose". I had the last fly wheel replaced by a local trans shop and when I told him what I found he said "that's what you get from so much torque." I bet he never torqued them...

My noise turned out to be the flywheel

The familiar noise turned out to be the flywheel. This time I think it is cracked in the center section. I have a new JW lightweight Steel SFI wheel coming this week. I talked to PTS about the discussion on shimming the 9X11 Conveter and They said not to shim it with the 200R4 Trans.

I got home from work this morning @ 7:30 Am. I slept for 3 1/2 hrs and headed for the dragstrip. It was hailing and raining when I left the house but the track is 30 mile from the house so I hoped for the best. When I arrived at the strip it was cloudy but dry, They opened the gates for racing...

Right rear 275-60-15 MT Street Radial rubs

I got the GN running good enough to pull it out of the garage and put the other 10X 15 Gbody wheel and 275-60-15 MT Street Radial on. The driver sides doesn't rub at all but the passenger side rubs all the time. I have the original rear shocks on the rear (135K). Do you think new shocks will...

    Bought the wife a goat

We have a new daily driver 2005 GTO automatic. Phantom black. I felt like this was the GN of 2005 and as ugly as it seems now it will age with time, and get much faster as the after market stuff comes out;)

Almost lost my GN in an Ice storm 2 yrs ago

I never had a garage for my 1986 GN that I bought new. Two years ago we had a horrendis ice srorm here in NC. When I woke up in the morning I looked out side and my heart was in my throat. I lost 20 % of the timber off my land to this storm and almost lost my GN. My wife and I bought a saw...
