whats the lake pic? take some pic of the headers and a close up of the carb. glad to see you have some pics.
 
So you have an Edelbrock carb correct? Does your distributor have a CCC wiring harness? If you have a CCC distributor and a non CCC carb your car wont run right.

Im not sure, but i dont think it has a wiring harness. It has an AC Delco top, but im not sure if the rotor is stock or not. This could explain alot.

its the puget sound about 2 minutes from my house. I have a few vids of the headers but they wont play on here. If you have picture mail, I could send the video of the headers.
 
If its a CCC distributor it should have a black plastic plug coming from the top of the aluminum base. Should go into the wiring harness. If it is a non CCC distributor it will just have 3 wires coming from the base to the cap. Dont know what a non CCC ESC distributor looks like. Mine is just a normal V6 NA distributor.

Your best bet is either get a correct 83 turbo carb or get a 79/80 turbo carb and non CCC distributor and then a MSD BTM.
 
It's an NA distributor. If you look at it the vacuum daiphram is the clue. A CCC distributor doesn't have one. Looks like you're gonna need quite a few parts to make ti work for you.
 
Is the wiring harness still in tact or is it cut? If you need a harness, you can get one from an 83+ nav6 regal and can use the same distributor. Then all you have to do is track down a carb. Sell the edelbrock and that should pay for a decent feedback carb.

First things first. Do you in fact have a puter in the car? If you don't know then take the cover off the passenger side kick pannel and see if it's there. If it is then we have a start at least.

I do have a computer, my friend checked that when we first got the car, but knowing how much the car leaks water on that side, and seeing the surface rust on the computer im not sure how well its working.
