Loosing Lots Of Power

I have a totally stock 89 tta. When I gun it, it pulls hard to about 4500 rpm and then looses power won't pull hard at high rpm's. Any suggestions on what it might be! Car has 88k origional miles. Stock fp, only mods consist of kn filter and gutted cat with 3 inch exhaust.

Valve springs...Do you have a scan tool?? It could also be knocking in the higher RPM's, but I would suspect Valve springs first if you are still running stock boost and chip.

change your plugs, and change your your fuel filter and a nice fuel pump and hotwire. Then start with a chip and valve springs.

Good point on the spark plugs...Always check regular maintainance first, I ASSumed.
