Hey CK how about the 4l80E?

The 4L80E is a TH400 with an electric overdrive. Can't CK remove the electronics with a manual valvebody? Why isn't this option being explored more? What would it take to install this trans in the Buick? The link is below for the people not familiar with what I am talking about. At that torque and hp rating it would cover 99% of us.

Other than shortening the driveshaft and using an adapter to install it in the GN is it a good option? It can handle more abuse and the lower front gear will help a lot of us with traction problems.
