Crazy wreck...with stuck throttle

Haven't seen this on here so I'm gonna post it...a stuck throttle can be scary...not sure why he didn't just kill the ignition.

its a repost i believe, bt still crazy situation. Driver was knocked out on impact, the foot doesnt come off the pedal when that happens. , But verywell coulda been stuck on impact

From what I read on the comments, the master cylinder was caught on the throttle cable. On impact, the master cylinder dropped, pulling on the throttle cable.

The throttle stuck before impact. Driver tried to pull throttle up with his foot. Got knocked out at impact, the reason it wasn't turned off.

I was on the starting line waiting for our XDR car to make it's hit when this crash happened. I have seen a lot of crashes but this one sent shivers up my spine. It seemed like the car was never going to shut off and then the safety crew cleared the starting line for fear that it was going to come back that way.

The thot of installing a crash cutoff came to mind, when I saw this vid. My bud wrecked his Ford, [I think an Escort], and the entire electrical system was dead. The OEM inertia sw had shut everything down.
