Yea so far its not the maf, and not the vacuum brake booster. The only thing I can think of now is try closing the pcv valve tube and see if it will idle. Im still getting 16psi vac on the guage though. If you figure anything our marty let me know. This is crazyyyyynessss :eek: :D

Wow, many similarities with my problem right now. The 175 iac, acting like a bad maf with maybe 400 rpm and stumbling. I can start my car fine but have to give it gas to keep it running or it dies in a couple seconds. I do get a temp reading though.

I did pull the IAC and shot the spring with a couple good shots of carb cleaner. I then gave a couple little blasts in the hole that it goes into, but not too much. The vacuum reads around 16 on the guage so it seems good to me. Back to the vacuum, I can hear what sounds like an on and off...

ok, the timing chain was checked and she's tight. It was changed a couple years ago from original stuff. When he did it, I guess its possible it is from the original parts perhaps, dropped when removing it or something.

My guess is the blower motor starts running, do you have the digital climate control ? Try unplugging the little circuit board next to the blower motor under the hood. Its in the top corner.
