    New XFI product

I didn't start the smarter thing, Otto did. My purpose was that I was wondering how other dealers were updating their ECU's before this product. I assumed that every dealer did it the way my dealer did. I guess I shouldn't assume things.

    New XFI product

I thought when you said that it is easy to test the ECU's when you update them in a car that you were going to start and run the car. So in that case it would have to be the same type, Buick, IPU, HEI, etc. PS. I wasn't being sarcastic. I don't think Dale Cherry and Injection Connection...

    New XFI product

I guess my FAST dealer is smarter, they have been doing it a long time and most on here are familiar with them, but that isn't the point. Plugging it into your own car will work IF you are dealing with the same type of car/setup. Most dealers do multiple types of vehicle so your car method...

    New XFI product

I have one question. How have you been preprogramming the ECU before this product? It is great that Caspers has made such a product to make this process easier. My FAST dealer made bench harnesses like you described for the XFI and and the previous FAST systems years ago. I watched them...

    Big Stuff 3 Tech Support

The old FAST system and the Accel Gen 7 DFI are not competition for the Big Stuff 3 system.

    Which Turbo?

If you are willing to wait I would go with a Precision Turbo PT70GTQ Dual Ball Bearing. They use the new Garrett Dual Ball Bearing catridge which is entirely different then any ball bearing turbo on the market. Also the GTQ turbine wheel is different then a conventional Q trim wheel, alot more...

    Individual cylinder correction

The FAST XFI ECU comes standard with both individual cylinder fuel and timing control. The last time I checked I believe the going price was $1649. Not expensive for a programmable engine management system. The original FAST was expensive in its day for both those features but thats not what...

    Whatever you say.

    XFI FUEL/OIL pressure Logging kit

You are acting like this is the first time "somebodies" thread was highjacked. Come on now. Thats what these threads are for. I don't think their intent was what you call "dirty" business. They were offering the participants of this board a deal on a product that they might need. This is...

    XFI FUEL/OIL pressure Logging kit

You seem to forget that this is a public forum and the Injection Connection is a supporting vendor where as you are not. So I don't see how they were undercutting anyone. If Hartline Performance had started the thread then I could see that you might have a valid point.

    XFI FUEL/OIL pressure Logging kit

I think that they have more important things to do with their time then spend all day looking at what gets posted on a forum. Apparently you are not smart enough not to get into a pissing match with someone when they call you on misinformation.

    XFI FUEL/OIL pressure Logging kit

You like to drop names don't you. I don't think they ever claimed to make the harness. It is just part of the kit. A flat 4-wire to 4-wire square weather pack is not rocket science. It is more for convienence purposes, as in everything that is needed to install it. I have one on my car and...

    XFI FUEL/OIL pressure Logging kit

The place where I buy my Turbo Buick parts is a FAST dealer (one of the first I might add, dealer #3) and a Caspers dealer. And is also a supporting vendor of this board so maybe I should bring this thread to their attention so they can start advertising these parts. Thanks.

    XFI FUEL/OIL pressure Logging kit

I spoke with John at Caspers about a month ago about his XFI adapter harness and the different options. One of them being the option to either use EFR control or by switching a little jumper on the circuit board to be able to log fuel and oil pressure with a little jumper harness that he sells...

    XFI FUEL/OIL pressure Logging kit

It is misleading because it can be purchased from Caspers direct or any of Caspers dealers.

    XFI FUEL/OIL pressure Logging kit

KL stated that Hartline Peformance is making this so called harness. Then Hartline Performance states that he is, in fact, not making the harness, that Caspers is. Just trying to keep the facts straight and not mislead any future buyers of this product.

    XFI FUEL/OIL pressure Logging kit

That's funny Caspers sells the same thing. With a little jumper in their adapter box to switch between factory EGR function or the auxillary sensors. Come to think of it the pic looks just like Caspers harness. Things that make you go hmmmmm.

DFI 6.0 with Low Impedance Injectors

A DFI 6.0 has four injector drivers so you should be able to run the low impendence injectors without a problem. I ran 83 lb/hr injectors in my Buick with a DFI 6.0 and drove it everyday without a problem. You will have to spend some time tuning to get everything to run properly but it can be...

Car is running on the new system

My comment was directed to norbs. They will be sold to anyone who has the money to purchase one. The basis for my statement was don't compare two things when you have no expeirence with one of them. Boost builder is not boost control, the XFI has boost control, PWM like the factory Buick...
