Can't wait to see it at a meet/gathering sometime soon Bob!

Advise needed on GN that has sat in storage!!!!

My car sat for over two years before I bought it. I changed the gas, the fuel filter, and the oil before I even tried to start it. It still ran like poop, but that was because of vacuum leaks that will inevitably pop up on a neglected TB.

    Another powermaster issue

My new accumulator ball worked fine as soon as I put it in.

I must have accidentally touched that ratings button while trying to scroll on my phone and didn't catch it, my bad Dave.

    missing under throttle

I had a similar problem, and it would clear up under boost. It turned out to be vacuum leaks. Very very common problem.

    missing under throttle

How does it run under boost?

    powermaster failure....best replacement??

My Powermaster exhibited the exact same symptoms described by the OP and I got a new accumulator bowl, which worked perfectly. Problem solved...for a short while. Less than a tank of gas later the brake warning light came on and STAYED on. The pedal went hard and I had almost no brakes. The...

Surge & Sputter, Rough Idle Continuous Problem

My car was doing this recently. I had it checked for vacuum: 9 inches. Not good. The guy I took it to chased down a few vacuum leaks and adjusted the fuel pressure. It is now pulling 16 inches of vacuum and runs a lot better at idle and part throttle, no more sputtering or surging.

    powermaster failure....best replacement??

I've been through this myself and am lucky to have never wrecked my car. Listen to gsgnnut and nickygn23, drop that Powerdisaster like a bad habit in favor of a cheap and simple vacuum system.

    Easy Upgrades?

The factory LED boost gauge and tach are notoriously inaccurate, so you may want to get aftermarket ones. And the stock airbox is pretty restrictive, so you may want to get opinions from the more experienced guys here as to what the best air intake option would be.

what kinda power can I expect ?

It depends on if the Terminator guys insist on sticking with the Eaton, IRS, and T56. ;)

    Easy Upgrades?

It seems to be hard to get a hold of a Scanmaster these days; they always seem to be out of stock. :(

    Easy Upgrades?

I'm a newbie myself, but I have read that the biggest mistake a lot of guys make is throwing on a big turbo as one of the first mods. That usually will slow you down, and you may be able to go further than you think with the stock turbo. The first things to do are probably a new/better fuel...

Do the '87 cars actually have a 7.5" rear end?

Someone else did say that somewhere, and mine is raised in the middle. I guess I didn't really do enough research before I made the post. Oops.

    Vacuum brake conversion

I have little girl hands but I still got a few cuts and scrapes from the vacuum conversion. The pedal is indeed the worst part, especially the part where you have to bolt it back in at the pivot point above the rod pin.If I had to do it again I would do as suggested above, remove the driver seat...

    Is a clean 87 GN T-Top with 88k miles worth 17k?

If someone offered me $17k for my 62k mile car then I would take it in a heartbeat. Or even $15k.:D Mine is nowhere near that clean though, especially under the t-tops.
