Does my radiator need to be replaced?

This is a stickup Not trying to be a thread burglar but... Progressive, which Flexalite setup are you using? Is it a single shroud with two fans or is it two 12" fans? I am looking into another fan setup to better help my Be-Cool as I am still using the factory fan. Thanks. Eric

    Bumper supports

I thought about going to the "mini" brackets when I repainted My car, yesterday I was glad I didn't. Someone behind me decided not to stop at the red light I was waiting for and a$$ ended the Buick. Very little damage, mostly paint actually. I'd hate to see what would have happened had I...

are 1st and 3rd main caps the same?

You must have the engine line bored along with the caps you are going to use on the motor. You can't change the cap later without another line bore. Otherwise your bearing tolerance will not be correct. Eric

    smoke

Mobil 1 should not ruin the motor, I use it exclusively. The lubrication properties are excellent over the life of the oil when compared to conventional. Many of the board members use synthetic oil of one brand or another. Did you perform the compression test on a warm motor? The motor should...

    problem with 009's

Old wives tales my a$$. I had at least 3 pairs of chips (93+108) from Armstrong, and a Testa chip. NONE of them worked for crap. The Block learn was 90 at idle with an integrator of 94.(trying to lean it out) At WOT the BLM ws 140 as was the integrator.(too lean) O2 volts at WOT were always...

    Pro's and con's

Definately ditch the idea of 009's, I couldn't get my car right in three years. I bought the 50#'s from PTE three years ago and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!:D Eric

TV Cable and WOT and TPS

You have to adjust your TV cable out a couple of clicks. This is preventing you from opening the butterfly 100% and the ECM won't see the WOT signal from the TPS. Adjust the TV cable Until the you can just touch the throttle stop at full throttle. Eric

    problem with 009's

Sell the 009's and get MSD 50's. I screwed with my car for three years trying to get those damn "fat on the bottom, lean up top" injectors to work. I don't know how many different chips I tried, none of them seemed to work much better than the others. Some people have good luck with them. Hope...

    smoke

Check the PCV valve to see if it clogged/working. How many miles on the motor? It could be bad/old piston rings. My old blazer had 286K miles on it and smoked like a freight train from the dipstick tube and every vent due to wasted rings. You can try a compression test to check the rings. Eric

    Hi Speed Fan not working

Check the electrical connectors at the fan and relays for corrosion. Mine had some blueish powder growing in them. I cleaned them up with a bore brush and lubed them with dielectric grease. You may also want to check the AC/heater blower fan connector. Mine was so corroded that the the fan...

    Fuel Pressure Gauge Rattle

Does the needle pulsate and coincide with the rattle? There may be some air in the line. I have a cheapy guage on a refrigeration hose that I hookup to the rail when I want to check the FP. I have a schrader valve in the fitting and bleed it every time I hook it up. Hope this helps. Eric

    All WOT shifts flaring

Dumba$$! I dumped another 1/2 a quart of type F in the tranny and the problem went away. What a dip$hit. Oh well, live and learn. I just wonder how much I shortened the life of the tranny. Eric

    balancer nut size?

If the snout was broken off the balancer and pulley would probably fall off along with the snout. Sounds like the woodruff key is probably sheared. Be sure to check out the snout thoroughly for scarring and to ensure that the end of the snout isn't rounded off. My balancer came loose and...

    balancer nut size?

I guess I should've mentioned, "be careful, the oil pump housing is soft." I tried the starter route with the breaker bar and jack handle, crap flew everywhere and I ended up cracking the passenger side inner fender well. I felt like a real dumbass.:o It broke the nut loose, but I didn't...

    balancer nut size?

The nut is1 1/8", try a deep socket 1/2" drive. If the balancer turns, how are you going to hold the crank still while you are loosening the nut? I used a a pair of Vicegrips on the balancer and rotated it against the oil pump housing to hold it still. You may be able to remove the flywheel...

    Accufab 70mm users- whistle?

70mm Accufab whistle I have a whistle on mine, though it sounds like it's different than yours. Mine does it whenever I back off of the throttle from a low (1PSI or less) boost condition, and sounds like an electric capacitor recharging for a strobe. I've been looking for anything that may be...
