Hi phillyturbosix, A relacement part (made years later) does not make the car original! I can say this because there is very few parts on my TTA that is original but, I never planed to sell it anyway. Just a point of view.

    Cylinder Compression

Hi iantatta, Well, I decided to respond. If you are actually running 160 lbs per cylinder that means you are running at a 10.3 compression ratio. You are correct in the measurment aspect. You do need a dial indicator to mesure top dead center and bottom dead center to calculate center line...

    Cylinder Compression

Hi I Wantatta, I'm not saying this to start a problem but I think you should know. The compresion ratio is determind by the cam. You can retard or advance the compresssion by moving the timing chain on the cam. Has your motor been worked on? A lot of shops build a 350, don't work. No offence...

    Cylinder Compression

Hi tta983, Your cylinder compression is what the compression ratio is. The TTA comp/ratio is 8 to 1, this means that there's 8 times compression over atmospheric pressure which is 14.7 psi. This means that if you are at 152 psi per cylinder presssure you have a different piston in the motor...

    plug wires

Honestly, I don't think any body actually uses the originals except for show, they're just to damned expensive and very hard to get. I don't think you can find a set for under $250. I use MSD's from Summit. You cut them to length and they work just fine. HA! I had a girl friend that thru my...

    chip advice

Hi HasBeen, TurboTweak absolutely! I would say if the chip in the car isn't stock and you have and all stock motor, including injectors, then the chip is either a Thrasher or a Pit Bull. Neither of these will help like a Turbo Tweak prom. You do need to know what the iinjctors are. Just have...

New to the TTA, couple questions-

Hi Jarred, I've thought about this a bit and I'm wondering, do you want to go Getto with your car? There is plenty of 17" rims out there that would look really good on your car and offer the foot print your looking for. In fact, there may be some 18" but, you are dealing with a limited space...

    Cylinder heads/ head bolts

Hi ttaowner, That's hard to say. The tta has independent rocker arms and the gn has shaft mounted rockers so there could be a difference in length, I'm just not sure. Summit did have an adjustable push rod that is actually a mich used to measure the length. If you have a stock cam and rockers...

    TTA Trans

Cool! Down here we just use machinist, it pretty much covers all the above, well, you gotta be able to wrench too. It appears that we both presumed something, that was wrong but, I stand by my observation and statement of the quality of the TTA headers.

    TTA Trans

Hi ttaowner, I don't need to google this. The ss used for the headers is very cheap and will even rust. Yes there are grades of stainless but it's a real stretch to say that the TTA headers are ss. Let me ask you something. Can you weld? Have you ever worked with steel before? Are you a...
