Well after replacing the solenoid and converter, i went with the last part in the chain, the front pump. When we disassempled the front pump we found the pump vane reatiner ring broken and pump vanes laying in there!!! :eek: The piece that broke off of the retainer ring was stuck in the TCC...

I still have no TCC lock-up. ALL electrical items have been verified and or replaced. Has to be either the converter or tcc valves in front pump? Not looking for a free fix, just want my lock-up back. :wink: Transmissions are the one thing we don't do in my shop :redface: Thanks, Rob

This was outside my shop last week, one 9sec GN, one 10sec GN, and my new bone stock GN that will be 11's by next spring. Both the 9sec and 10se GN's have TA aluminium blocks and heads :eek:

I have an 87GN 77K miles, car is bone stock. I have no TCC lock-up. I tried shorting the ALDL with no luck. Replaced TCC solenoid, shorted ALDL and can hear the TCC solenoid clicking on in the trans. Still no lock-up. I am hitting 2300-2500 @ 65mph, tap brakes to verify. What else could it be...

Has anyone tried this with the SMC kit and gotten good results? Alot cheaper than an intercooler! Was curious as I knew how good it worked on the GN's. Ups and downs of this approach to s/c outlet temps. Thanks, Rob
