Does this 1/4 time look right for the mods?

Just checking with some of the pro's since i have been out of the near stock scene ;)
Mod's are 009's, PTE Frt Mount IC, Alky, 2.5" dual exhaust, totally wrong maxeffort 16pos chip. 02's are 910 - 870 at launch then drop to 785-790 for the back-half of the track. NO TCC lock-up since it doesn't work.
26x10 MT slicks rest of car is bone stock,

12psi launch, 20psi boost, FP is 38 psi , car feels lazy in 1st and 2nd, 3rd feels great!

1.69 60'

7.9@85

12.56@105.5

Thoughts, good or bad??
 
thats about all i would have if i run unlocked ,assume this is stock turbo and the big intercooler could be hurting the bottom spoolup some
to me he numbers you posted look ok ,but the whole slip would show more

get the bottom sorted out a liltltle better and maybe bring the boost up a little

Locking the converter would have made it 12.4@107 maybe??

Needs more timing for sure, chip was set-up for big turbo which = rich and low timing :frown:
 
had to look to find an old slip around high 1.6 , most are low 1.6 but tires were getting near the cord


timing was at 27/22 boost at 24 or so duttneck I/C
locked at line , egt 1496
255/50 16 MT radials 24 psi
this was late may but was last run of night 63 degrees
launch at near zero (2800) but flashes to 3950 before i break the beam

Question: I am running mid 12's at 112. I can't get it to footbrake high. Would using the parking brake help?

I think we have the same setup so I just wanted to know how much boost an timing did run with that setup
 
Looks a little rich at the line. Probably hurting spool and 60'. I would turn the boost up a little more and run a taller set of slicks. Replace your valve springs and get the TCC to lock up. Should go 12.0's with a 1.60 60' and the above changes.

s-10 wheel cylinders and 2 primary shoes per side, I hit 13lbs at the line.
 
Thanks guys for the input. I installed my new MAFTPRO and will be adding timing and leaning the bottom end. Should help. I also will be installing a new pump in the tranny to fix the no TCC lock-up :mad:
 
Hey Rob..

Think you need to work on the bottom end tuning, Stock turbo at 105 and 20 PSI aint bad. Your alcohol may be creating a flooding condition if your using a DIY type kit.

1.69 is a good 60 foot.. but the 330 is in the toilet for that 60. Meaning its probably off the charts rich.

Tried calling you a few times a month ago.. never got through.. :( I did a Cobalt kit for a local guy.. simple car.

Get a chip that matches the injectors. You can probably contact Steve for a reburn on that 16 pos chip to get it correct...

Thanks Julio! Allot was happening then(bad stuff) but everything is getting better now :)

I sold the Cobalt and bought this nice GN. I'm in heaven again! :biggrin:

Oh yea, I bought a 55gal drum of pure methanol, see, i do listen! :p
