    3" MAF & Translator ?

Left mine screens in with both the 3" and 3.5"' sensors. Never came across any instructions that required their removal. Be sure to have your translator on a 3" setting. Otherwise, you'll run rich.

KR and PSI and Big Turbos

Re: just picked the 70 for speaking terms Assuming the 100 octane gas really was 100 octane, mixed with the little bit of 93 octane that I had in the tank, overall octane was approximately 98. Probably could have gotten one more pound of boost with pure 100 octane but all I did was add the...

KR and PSI and Big Turbos

In my case, 100 octane unleaded gas barely permits 17 psig that is only 2 psig over what I normally run with 93 octane. Consequently, life gets much better with C116. Richard

    Bad News Knock

Oil pressure seems a little low. With temperatures getting cooler, should be fairly easy to meet the 37 psig at 2400 rpm minimum requirement. From what you're describing, sounds like a rod is making the noise and could be causing the low oil pressure problems. But, low oil pressure usually...

    Cam break-in

Normal You did the right thing by shutting the car off and letting it cool down. Did not hurt anything. Most of the time, you have too spray the radiator with cool water to have a continuous break-in. Richard

Engine temp and turn signal questions

The flasher has an aluminum color, maybe an 1-1/4" in diameter and height and has two male spade connectors. Easy to get at any auto parts store and usually costs three or four dollars. Your car will have this same type flasher for the hazard lights that plugs into the fuse box. As a test, try...

Engine temp and turn signal questions

87gninpa, Believe the stock thermostat is a 195 F version so operating at 195 to 205 F is not too hot. But, still prefer temperatures closer to 160 F. Your blinker problem is probably just a bad flasher. Replace the flasher that is underneath the steering wheel. Best to stick with either...

    clanging noise

Be careful. Loud clanking noises are not normal. Recommend that you look under your car while someone turns your steering wheel. If you don't see anything, take it to reputable shop for a thorough check and lineup. That clanking could easily turn into a break while your driving down the road...

    Small Loss of Water

Over the last six months and seven thousand miles, have lost one quart of water. Have not seen an increase in oil level and have not had pressurizing problems with the cooling system. Furthermore, water pump has less than ten thousand miles on it. The relatively slow rate of loss makes it...

    clanging noise

ulose2av6, If the clanking noise can be heard just by turning the steering wheel while the car is not moving, might be very worn tie rod ends. Richard

down pipe and external wastgate ?'s

Very Reliable - No Sticking Cannot really compare since I have not tried a Terry Houston pipe but have never had a sticking problem with my Racegate. Not sure how long, but believe it has been on my car for over seven years. If you do decide to buy a deltagate type controller, the Racegate or...
