Small Loss of Water

Over the last six months and seven thousand miles, have lost one quart of water. Have not seen an increase in oil level and have not had pressurizing problems with the cooling system. Furthermore, water pump has less than ten thousand miles on it.

The relatively slow rate of loss makes it difficult to determine if I really have a problem but having the oil analyzed would ease concerns. Please advise if this is practical and if so, who does this type of analysis?

Thanks,
Richard

That's not a large amount of loss for that time period. In fact, I wouldn't even worry about it. If you are worried, then it sounds as if you might have a small leak in your heater core...
