    700/4L Sonnax drum & shell?

Anyone use the new 700/4L60/4L60E drum, with the improve 3rd clutch ability yet? Or, their smart sun shell for the same? Any thoughts?

    hardened front drum

:D Back in the 1980's I had a nightmare about GM making a 200C using 80% plastic. The friction surfaces & some of the springs were steel, but the case, sun shell, etc. were plastic. I glad Hydramatic never got that idea. :p

Great, they just increased the price to $113.00!  But, it it's probably easier than using c-clamps.

Some of the California plates at one point looked kind of "generic". The same for some of the Texas & Utah plates of the past.

    Fuel Sending Unit or Gauge?

FSU's do go bad. A few years ago, Shell/Motiva had a batch of gasoline with too much sulfur in it, causing FSU's to fail on a number of different cars. You got to love poor QC at oil companies, while raking in massive profits. Now, you could try the old wham the gas tank with a rubber...

    BLM and INT problems.....

What are the O2 cross counts? If they are too low, then the O2 sensor is history. And the O2 readings during normal cruise? At idle, the O2 sensor can cool down enough to make it stop sending signals. Quick Reference Page For the '86/'87 Turbo Regals and '89 Turbo T/A Clean all the grounds...

    Seperating trans from engine.

This might sound silly, but is the shift linkage & drive shaft disconnected? Some transmissions separate very easily, some need "persuasion". You may need to angle the trans slightly different while pulling.

    Rough running turbo buick

I've been asking around, and 3 things come to mind: 1. Is the puck inside the bottom of the turbo seating? Some downpipes can mess that up. 2. The Wastegate actuator vacuum "can" may be bad. 3. The wastegate solenoid could be bad, not allowing boost.

Failed TX emissions - 31K mile TTA

It's also a good idea to take the EGR valve off & run a stranded steel wire through the 2 EGR passages to make sure they are not plugged up. I've had those passages crud up on 2 different cars. The actual ERG valves & diaphragms were OK, but opening the EGR by a vacuum pump at idle didn't reduce...

Car died while driving now won't start.

FWIW, I saw something on an old KenneBell Tech info piece about spun cam bearings on stock blocks at high power if you don't have a girdle or Stage 2 block. All the lifters move freely? Otherwise, I can't figure that one out.

Car just started sputtering…what to do?

Fuel filter OK? Fuel pressure OK? These fuel pumps do die. What are the sensor readings from the scanner? The codes will only set for hard failures. ANd, some chips don't support the CEL failure codes. Quick Reference Page For the '86/'87 Turbo Regals and '89 Turbo T/A
