i hate winter

That would suck for those of us up here who have access to someone that knows how to paint these cars. You driving or flying down? I know I should go to the TB.com nats but never seem to have the $$$ or time to go to any long distance shows. Especially with the current situation at the day job, nursing home has gone into receivership meaning that the state is now running us until they can find another buyer/management company. 21 years there and now starting all over as far as time off goes, at least they didn't cut my salary (yet)

Driving with JR and tony, want to come with us? we'r renting a caravan your more than welcome to come with us.

temperature does not make u sick. germs do.:)

there seems to be more germs around in the winter . i am not usually sick and i'm on my 4th cold since thanksgiving.:mad::mad:

and to know it was 70degrees in florida today:mad:

not sure how big the snowpiles are down there but here in wallingford most are taller than the cars. i went 20 minutes up the road to rockyhill tonight and i seems like they got a lot less snow than us up there.in place near the sides of the highway maybe 20' away look like the the snow was maybe only
8" deep to me. around here we probably have around 3 feet of snow.i'm tired of being bundled up like a eskemo what ever happened to that global warming we were getting accustomed too???

My Doctor told me year's ago. The reason more people are sick in the winter , Is because they are inside around more people in confined space during the winter

I was standing on a 6' snow bank yesterday , Getting what snow I could off the porch roof , I also dug out the GN.

Spent 4 hours on the roof clearing off snow in preparation for the next hit this week. Lots of buildings around here having roofs cave in so figured might as well do it. What a bitch job. Only went down to the layer of ice we had a couple weeks ago but got tons of weight off the roof and didn't have to worry about messing up shingles.

Got a roof rake but impossible to use at my house as it is too high so attacked it from above. Cleared a path up to the peak and then used the roof rake to push it off. No going near the edge for me! Tied off the chimney as it was real slippery up there. Now out to fire up the snowblower as my garage has a 3 ft pile of snow on the ground.

I feel your pain ! , I did what I could , the last two days of it going up to 40° helped allot here. Most of it is gone. until Tuesday / Wednesday for round number 8 :(

95/96 was much worse. :p

The cold takes a lot out of people and a lot more are sick in the winter spreading their germs to us overshoveled worn out old folk.

Nobody stays home with a cold anymore and few do with bronchitis and the flu too.

Kids don't seem to get affected as bad and are little carriers roaming the aisles at the supermarket and any other store or mall you go to.

DLB's I call 'em, dirty little bast.....;)

Ah it ain't the kids fault it's their idiot parents.

Rant over cleaned everything except the roof.

Oil today was $3.39 for 150 gallons on the credit card.

Watch out kid you might put your eye out!

Wounded in action today at the day job. Knocking down gigantic icicles, talking about the size of my forearm and one kicked back and got me right below the eye, probably going to be sporting a shiner in morning. Luckily it was the pointy end. Felt like someone punched me in the face, never saw it coming.

Be careful out there!

I know the feeling Mark, Back when it was warm and there was no snow or ice on the ground , I was cutting the Grass and kicked up a pebble it bounced off the house and hit me in the corner of my eye. It swollen up blood shot real bad , went to the ER , It's fine now , but about a week after , My eye looked like a Vampire's eye yellow and red .

Glad your OK , So you can handle the ice storm we are suppose to have tonight.

3 inches here and some freezing drizzle.

It was heavier than 8" of the last storms powder, (one of three shovelfuls needed per foot of progress), for some reason and it wasn't that wet snow since it was 20 degrees here WTF?

I can't wait for the additional freezing rain and then the torrential downpour of warm 35 degree rain.

If I lose power I'll be living in the WE4. :p
