OK, My car is finally back after having the tranny done, and it rocks. TE-45, eastern FM, 55# injectors, bone stock long block, and so forth. Heres my problem, I cant hook. it doesnt help that i still have the stock 215 radials, but BFG drag radials are sonn on the way. What suspension modifications are needed to make these cars really hook. cause theirs no point in having a fast car if it doesnt hook.
thanks,

Southside lowers, S-10 wheel cylinders, pinion snubber and 255 BFG's have gotton me some high 1.6's with 6-8 psi launch
grab the wheel and hold that brake as tight as you can !!!!!

FWIW here is my setup:

KYB shocks
Moog stock replacement shocks (don't know what #'s though)
Bone stock untouched upper CA's
Boxed stock LCA's with rubber 1LE bushings
ATR rear swaybar
air bags on both sides: best psi has been 9psi DS and 22psi PS with slicks and 12DS and 28PS with DR's

My best 60' to date is a 1.55 on 28x10x16" Hoosier's mtd on C16" Centerlines. I also had a best of 1.59 on the 26" MT and a best of 1.72 on the 275/50 Nitto's on stock rims.

Hope that helps a little.

if you really want the car to hook, get some slicks....everything else is an exercise in futility if you are serious about drag racing.......
