Several guys on yellow bullet state they have run 8's on untouched 5.3 bottom ends. No rod bolts or ring gap changes, just cam, heads and turbo. Pretty impressive for factory parts.

It is amazing the beating that this ls engine will take versus the old gen 1 Chevy engines. I wonder how sturdy the v6 engines are now away days:block, mains, crank, rods, pistons etc.
