im getting ready to get my 86 gn back on the road after afew years and i know the breather in the ps valve cover needs replacing. my ? is should i use a stock style or the breather type that just vents. my car is completely stock for right now. thanks for any suggestions, jeff

I went open breather(aftermarket) that vents. It got soaked, oil would get pushed through my turbo seal(at times) high crankcase Pressure build up. I had a little smoke at idle 4-5 mins worth. Went through alot of crap thinking it was bad gasket, cracked heads, i switch the breather back into the intake. No problem since. I used a mr gasket breather w/ outlet into the intake.

I toss that open breather away, Again other might say no problems with them, some might say x2. My open breather was on a tall tube, still got soaked. Not sure if you being IC would make a difference, hope this helps.

I run an after market breather
I stuck a open cell foam up in the breather to catch most of the oil
I also run a one way valve on my PVC to help keep pressure from blowing back into the engine
