Proudly say what you do for a living!

dennis,
we also have 3 trucks. and I know about headaches. I bought the 07 ford f-550 new. I have put 50,000mi on it and not one brake problem. Knock on wood. I was always a chevy guy till i bought this one. never again will I own a chevrolet tow truck. My Chevy flatbed has a Cat motor so its mr. reliable.

as for pricing. well lets see. a normal tow around here will cost you 105.00 for 10mi. get in an accident and stuff gets really expensive. 160.00hr for our state patrol. 240.00per hour for our county sheriff.
you have to also take into account my trucks cost around $85,000ea.

I own a small towing company. Love being my own boss. Hate that the economy tanked and now the only person I get to boss around is myself.h and my dispatcher. well ok she bosses me around. But I have been doing this 24yrs so Im used to it..

My two best trucks

I work for Best Buy, doing store resets, remodels, and new store openings. When I'm not doing that I am in school trying to get my criminal
Justice degree.. I originally wanted to become an officer, but after having a couple of classes with my teacher who's a lawyer.. I might change directions.

=]

Good stuff! I have a friend who is now working out in LA who is big into marketing and coordinating events and such. I can talk to him and see if he has anyone in his network out in your area. He has that kind of personality that makes anyone that has talked to him want to know him so chances are he may have something.

That would be GREAT ! Thank you !

Same exact thing here...I went back to school after getting out to be more competitive getting hired as an officer, but nobody around here is hiring. The departments that are hiring are basically only hiring women (thanks a lot, Bouman.) So after a year of getting turned down I said screw it and now I'm aiming high for law school. I wouldn't wanna be like most of the cops I see around LA anyway (no offense to the good cops out there!)

I started at Teledyne Packard Bell as a TV repair ('74-'78). Then Xerox for 4 1/2 yrs, then Delco/ITT/Valeo for 23yrs. At Delco we made ALL of the electric motors in most GM vehicles (G bodies included) ,and I packed about 70% of all the wiper motors for the first 9 yrs . In the last 14yrs I served my apprentiship, the first 4 yrs, the rest as a GM electrician. I'm now at Delphi / GM Components for the last 4 1/2 yrs. We make fuel injectors in the clean room, fuel rails , V8 truck manifolds ( injection molded plastic)& the fuel injection for Harley Davidson. (Local 1097 UAW)

I almost forgot , my username comes from my snowmobile dyno business !!

Currently flying a mahogany bomber in the desert :(

YOU HAVE MY DREAM JOB! If you could have seen my room when I was a kid...covered with aircraft wallpaper, Air Force books, fighter jet models and drawings pinned up all over. I was like Christian Bale's character in Empire of the Sun man! Spent my youth waiting to join the USAF only to find out that (at that time) having had LASIK was an automatic disqual; a couple years into my time in the Marines, they not only approved it, they started paying for it! I did some incredible sh** the Marine Corps and wouldn't trade it for anything...except a chance to be a pilot!

I still turn into a wide-eyed 8 year-old every time I see a fighter...heck, even a Marine helo. You sir, are a badass. Lucky SOB!
