popping noise

I recently had alky put on and ran great 1st couple times i got on it, But now when i start to kick in turbo, I hear a pop noise and engine bogs so I let off and it runs fine, only pops when I begin kicking in turbo. Any ideas?

Could be leaning out for some reason. Make sure the alky is coming on. Worst case you could be loosing a head gasket.

Agreed that you could be leaning out. Check to see if fuel pressure keeping up?

Another thing that makes a popping noise is a worn cam.

now it runs terrible. BUT for the 1st time, my scanmaster actually give me a code. #44. I hear a bad hiss somewhere on the passenger side of motor. maybe o2 sensor or bad vaccuum leak. I got to wait till it cools down to check it out.

ok. Dummy me, i found it, pcv valve hose popped off.
