Passing emissions with a test pipe

Any thoughts or experiences? I live in CT and this is my 87 GN...it passes with the cat and stock chip now with no problem.

Your going to need it to pass, I guarantee. Do you still have it to put back on?

Pretty sure they do a visual for the cat here in CT. If you have it you might as well throw it on. Pretty sure it won't pass without even if they don't do the visual. I know they checked my car for it this summer.

Ya don't got to leave it on....just make sure that you set it up to be able to swap it in and out for inspections!

We don't have inspections here in the great white north but I'm curious, would and aftermarket cat be acceptable for an inspection?

As long as it visually passes and pass the sniffer it would be acceptable. The issue is if it would get the toxins down to pass the sniffer.

Been using an aftermarket 3" cat for years, passes every time.
