Need help choosing a converter. If I am running a Garett T54 turbo, do I have to run a higher stall converter? I'm not sure what I have now, but was told it is a 9" non lock up with over 3000 stall. All I know is I hate it, it gets terrible gas mileage, and it feels like it just want go without flooring it. I think my top end speed is also affected. I think I would be happier with something as CLOSEST to stock as I can. I called a guy at Pats Performance Converters. He recommended a 10" lockup with 2800 stall. What stall is a stock converter? How will it run with a stock converter? Just don't know too much about these cars and need some help from the experts. Please give me some suggestions.

3000-3500 lock up converter, what size injectors are in there and what chip? the 54 would suck on stock converter-like 2200 stall.

You should go with a stock turbo and converter then. Top speed? LMAO!

#42 injectors for now until the alky. TT 93 chip. Larger intercooler necks. On a cool day runs 20lbs boost. No turbo lag. Just want more drivability. If I put a 2800 stall 10" how do think it would do?

It should be ok. I doubt you can run 20psi on 93 without alky though.
