Here we go:

Is the chip custom programmed for timing and boost levels, and the user adjusts the fueling at various points?

Would the BoostCommand still control boost if it is wired in?

Are the thumbwheel positions what control timing levels?

This things sounds great, I'm just trying to figure it out. I have looked at the website.
Thanks.

No... Thumbwheel settings control FUELING. The timing is set in the chip.

You dial in whatever boost you want as long as it is a safe amount for the amount of timing already programmed into the chip. Then you adjust fueling with the TW at various points as you said.

yes..

Kevins is offerring the right advice here...in addition to what he has mentioned, you can also add or subtract fuel in all rpm ranges. It's split up so that you can A or S fuel between 0 and 4000 rpm, 4000 and 4800 rpm and of course WOT [4800+ rpm] which makes it tunable/tailorable to your car. Best money spent on your car I'd bet. Steve Wood also uses the ME/MM boost controler combo and could probably answer any specific Q's in this area.
