Installing new fuel pump

I am in the process of installing new walbro fuel pump with hotwire kit and was following this link
http://www.turbobuicks.com/forums/buick-v6-turbo-tech/54018-how-install-intank-fuel-pump.html

Is the dremel part necessary? Or can you just connect the hose supplied with the walbro?

I've also recently seen racetronix sell the whole sender unit. I'm guessing this takes care of the tapered metal hose that goes to the fuel pump.

Could i expect to have problems with what i have?

If you are keeping the car mostly stock you can leave the dremel part out.

It's not hard to do however.

I would recommend the Dremel part. That guy's been playing with these cars for a while.

Plus if you go back and re-read the post, the author mentioned having to back off on the AFPR after that one mod. One reply mentioned a 5PSI jump from removing that section. That's kind of a scientifical verification that the necked down/rolled edge part is a restriction. If you like the 'scientific method' that is. :)
