get a truck with a floor that looks like this, and 99.99% of all the 4X4 related problems that happen with late model trucks simply can't happen..

That's IF you can find one that's not rusted to pieces.

rust is irrelevant- it's a truck. as long as the chassis and drivetrain are good, it is good to go.
and it's almost impossible to kill any part of the driveline in a 70's/80's 3/4 ton Chevy or GMC.
