How much boost on E85

I know some here locally ran 42 psi on stock block, stock stroke, E85 and so forth. I guess it can be done!

28 pounds with a 6776 on the dyno. Stopped there because Injector duty cycle was at 95%

This is an old thread but I thought id dig it up and see how things have progressed in the e85 tuning world.
Where are you guys at these days with your boost/timing/afrs? Im at 24psi / 23.5deg timing with 10.5 afr and it loves it. Care to share?
Post your hp or mph info so we can see what the mass flow

How do u figure mass flow??

Rpm@power. If the engine has peak power at around 5500 it will have a mass flow in lbs/min about 10% of it's actual power. Keep in mind hp is a formula. So 650hp is about 65lbs/min in the mid 5000's. If you increase engine speed 10% you will see more power because of rpm but mass flow may only increase a little over the slower rpm engine. Mass flow data enables us to compare any engine regardless of rpm.

it was 610 at the wheels around 650 torque, i used to have the dyno pic saved but i lost all my files

Not too sure on HP at a guess around 700rwhp.
Went 9.34@152 few weeks back. I shift at 7100rpm.
Cars rear end was very loose and a lot of wheel spin resulted. I've since got new adjustable shocks and new diff in the car. Going to go out at Easter.

Just wondering how far I can go with timing... Inlet temps are around 45-50c

Afr 10.4 - 10.5

I'm thinking around 24deg and 28lbs boost might be my limit.

Thoughts?

That's more like 950whp and 105lbs/min if the car is 3600lbs.

Its not a corolla its a Aussie comodore. It would be around 3000lbs plus me at 200lbs.

They are 3200lbs from factory.

I really don't know what power it makes. Was only a guess.

We had it on the dyno about a year ago and it made 580rwhp on 14psi boost.

Since then I have not had it back on and we are at 23-24psi boost.

I'm just going to keep adding boost and watch my inlet and eg temps.

You should log backpressure also

I do log back pressure. I was originaly using GT3076R turbos but the back pressure was high due to the small exaust wheels. I switched to the GT3582R and all is good.
