First let me say I dod not verify these facts. Just throwing out something to read.

I don't live within 15 minutes of a Wal Mart:biggrin:

1. Americans spend $36,000,000 at Wal-Mart every hour of every day.

2. This works out to $20,928 profit every minute!

3. Wal-Mart will sell more from January 1 to St.Patrick's Day (March
17th) than Target sells all year.

4. Wal-Mart is bigger than Home Depot + Kroger + Target + Sears +
Costco + K-Mart combined.

5. Wal-Mart employs 1.6 million people and is the largest private employer.

6. Wal-Mart is the largest company in the history of the World.

7. Wal-Mart now sells more food than Kroger & Safeway combined, and
keep in mind they did this in only 15 years.

8. During this same period, 31 Supermarket chains sought bankruptcy
(including Winn-Dixie).

9. Wal-Mart now sells more food than any other store in the world.

10. Wal-Mart has approx 3,900 stores in the USA of which 1,906 are
Super Centers; this is 1,000 more than it had 5 years ago.

11. This year 7.2 billion different purchasing experiences will occur
at a Wal-Mart store. (Earth's population is approximately 6.5
billion.)

12. Ninety percent (90%) of all Americans live within 15 miles of a Wal-Mart.

Let Wal-Mart bail out Wall Street.

Better yet . . . let them run the damn Government.

Too bad that something as successfull as Wal-Mart can't run this country. With leadership like that we would not have any worries...

they do better w/ an honest dead leader than the gov't can do w/ a living lying one. God save America the Wal-Mart way!

Those stats are quite staggering. What a monopoly. I would have to raise the BS flag on the most food sold tho. The rest sounds about dead on. I live 15 minutes from 3 Walmarts.

kirban 2 cents worth

So, based on the above info on Wal mart......the trick is to get your product into Walmart so you can enjoy tremendous sales.

In the chart of satistics one factor has been left out.....

Of all the products they sell......what percentage has on them the little MADE IN CHINA label......

In the scheme of things whether you like Wal Mart or not.....in any business retail etc someone is always at the top of the heap. GM enjoyed that luxury for many years....but not anymore...

I USED to support Wal Mart when they took PRIDE in ONLY selling AMERICAN MADE PRODUCTS.

Now its all imported JUNK, thats why its so cheap. I wonder why in the HELL they changed their ways?! I would have to blame GREED. Once Sam Walton died , all of his viewpoints died with him ---

Why wait around?

Move to China now, while the real estate is still cheap.

I go to Target for the MILFs and hipster college girls. Wal-Mart for cheap oil and filters.

LOL! That is the same way here. We have a college here in my town and all the MILFS and college girls go to target too:biggrin:

Wal Mart has about anything you need. They carry something for everybody. They have nailed "sales" for sure...

I do agree it is somewhat of a monopoly, but it appears they are doing it legally... Employee treatment, now that is a different story...

exactly, one fact that has been left out.

# 13 walmart imports more made in china crap than ANY other retail store

I was reading an article in a magazine, they interviewed the owner of Lucas Oil, he vowed that as long as HE owned Lucas Oil you will NEVER see there product in ANY walmart.

If you take factoid #1, $36,000,000 per hour, and multiply by 24 and 365 you get $315 billion per year gross sales. Call that a GDP and WalMart would rank 30th in the world, between Argentina and Venezuela :). [Using the 2008 World Bank list, slightly up or down if you use the IMF or CIA lists.]

I will admit. I started buying my dog food from there. I use to buy my dog natural frozen food and man was it expensive. I also use to feed him top rated dry food like Wellness.

Then I tried a few brands at Ghettomart after speaking to one of our K-9 guys who feeds him with one of the Ghettomart dog food brands and he eats the same amount as he did before, coat looks shiny, has the same amount of energy and cost half of what I was paying before.

I also buy my DVD's there when they are first released.

I used to travel the country( 26 states ) installing their security cameras and DVR's and training the staff, wiring the the RACKS of IT/Telecom equipment, etc
I got so tired of seeing Wal Mart that I haven't been in one but once in 3 years!
I went to the Distribution center in Springdale Ill, WOW what a place, 1.4 million square feet under roof!! They said that they moved 15,000 cases of product an hour. There were somewhere around 300 loading dock doors on the building. There is alot of wasted money in Wal Mart, especially in day-old bakery items---straight to the trash--not donated!!
They even flew me to Mililani Hawaii to fix the photo lab, how in the hell was I the closest technician to Hawaii. ( I did enjoy it though )
